Bitter Harvest's long awaited second album

A brief incomplete bio
Bitter Harvest is (usually) the work of one person, Scott Righteous. The band name dates back to uh, I don't know exactly, 1987 or something like that. The early recordings combined experimental works with very structured rhythmic and melodic works usually 'Industrial' in nature. There were a handfull of different cassettes released and a little bit of college radio airplay. In this first incarnation there were two members, Scott concentrated on rhythms, sampling and general arrangements while the more musically talented Jody Cairns provided guitar, keyboard melodies, vocals and other 'note' related elements. There were no live shows although there were live recordings. Go figure?

Scott Righteous is first and foremost a drummer, although he considers himself to be a songwritter first and everything else second. His early musical history indicates that he has been in a variety of Punk and Industrial bands, as a 'drummer'.

Here is a brief and incomplete look at some of the better known projects he has been involved in over the years;

In the late 80's he played drums in the Halifax version of the noise terrorist band 'PHYCUS'. Phycus was on the cutting edge of fusing elements of noise, Neoism, choas theory and raw meat into a unique 'musical' experience.

In the early 90's he (briefly) played drums for the father of Neoism; Monty Cantsin.

In the mid 90's he played drums in the Toronto based 'Devoured', a funk/techno/lounge/dub/-pop band fronted by Dave Howard of the 'Dave Howard Singers' fame. In hindsight Devoured may have been one of the first in a wave of bands later to be dubbed 'Trip-Hop'.

Sometime in September of 1997 'Ritual Music For Broken Magick' was released independently, and later distributed by Silver USA throughout North America.

Although Scotts roots are drumming, he has over the years recorded a wide range of music (mostly unreleased) where he tries his hand at guitar, vocals and programming. This music falls into the usual gamut of electronic music; techno, industrial, disco, and pop.
